Types of Fresh Water Tankers in Kuwait

Article 4 of 14Englishالنسخة العربية

Introduction

Fresh water tankers in Kuwait are needed for construction sites, camps, farms, dust control, and worker facilities. But saying “water tanker” is not enough. Capacity, water type, discharge method, tank cleanliness, and site entry permits must be defined.

Common capacities

The common capacities in the market are often 5,000 gallons and 10,000 gallons, with larger sizes available depending on chassis and permits. Smaller tankers work better in tight internal roads, while 10,000 gallon units suit open sites and high consumption. For fresh water, tank cleanliness is critical and should not be mixed with treated or industrial water service.

Chassis and brands

Common chassis include Mercedes Actros, MAN TGS, Hino 700, Isuzu, Sinotruk, and SITRAK. Mercedes-Benz Trucks Kuwait shows Actros in 4x2, 6x2, and 6x4 configurations with gross weights reaching 40 tons depending on configuration [S9]. Chassis choice should match tank size and road conditions.

Checks before ordering

Ask about tank certificate if the water is for potable or human-use purposes, pump condition, hose length, filling method, and whether waiting time is included. Government or oilfield projects may require additional entry permits for the driver and truck.
